Call for Conference Committee Volunteers/Members

FRID 2012 Conference Committee Co-Chairs Sandra Roche’ Sanders and Amanda David are thrilled to announce the call for Conference Committee members!  Join us in planning a fantastic conference this Fall – the success of our conference depends on YOUR time and talents!  Positions are open for all of the following:

Program Committee Chair – works with a committee to choose the workshops that will be presented at conference.

Interpreter Coordinator – evaluates, coordinates and schedules the working interpreters for the conference.

Support Staff Coordinator – works with volunteers to help with logistics of the conference.

Program Book Committee - designs and produces the program book for the conference.

Vendors/Exhibitors/Silent Auction Committee - works with vendors, sponsors, and exhibitors for the conference; gets donations for and runs the silent auction during the conference.

Entertainment Committee - evaluates and selects conference-related entertainment.

To apply, send an electronic copy of your resume and a brief description of what you can contribute to the conference. Please email conference@fridcentral.org by midnight on Tuesday, January 24, 2012. All committee members must be dual members in good standing with RID as well as FRID, and will be vetted through a selection process.  Members will be required to provide periodic reports of their activities. Work will generally consist of emails and conference calls. If selected, you should be present at all committee conference calls or meetings. All applicants will be notified of the results no later than Sunday, January 29th. We look forward to working with YOU to design a fabulous conference!
