New Member Online Application

New Members: Our fiscal year runs from July 1st through June 30th of each year. If you are apply as a new member during the months of April, May, or June, your membership will be extended to June 30th of the following year. Please see Membership Categories and Eligibility Requirements to assist you in choosing the appropriate Membership Level.

Renewing Members: This application form is for new members only. To renew your membership, you must log in in as a member. In the top right corner of the Home page, log in with your email address and password, then click on View Profile. There you will see the button to renew.

Note: The category for Pre-Certified Associate Membership is not listed below. Pre-Certified Associate Members hold a QA and/or EIE Level, or other pre-certified interpreting credentials. One must already be a FRID member in order to obtain a QA or EIE Level. Therefore, this category is not open for new member applications. If you hold pre-certification credentials from another state and believe you qualify for Associate Membership, please contact the FRID Membership Chair at MembershipChair@fridcentral.org

Nationally Certified Membership ($38.00 (USD)) Subscription period: 1 year, on: July 1st Automatic renewal: no Any individual who is an active Certified Member of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID). RID recognized certifications include: CI, CT, CSC, MCSC, OTC, IC, TC, CDI, NIC (all levels), NAD 3, 4, or 5, Ed:K-12, CLIP, CLIP-R, SC:L, Prov. SC:L, SC:PA, ACCI. An individuals who is not a Nationally Certified Interpreter is ineligible for this membership category.

Organizational Membership ($77.00 (USD)) Subscription period: 1 year, on: July 1st Automatic renewal: no Any organization/institution with an interest in supporting the purposes and activities of FRID.

Supporting Membership ($35.00 (USD)) Subscription period: 1 year, on: July 1st Automatic renewal: no Any individual with an interest in supporting the purposes and activities of FRID who does not meet eligibility requirements to be a Nationally Certified or Pre-Certified Associate Member. Persons holding a Florida QA or EIE Level are ineligible for this membership category. This is a non voting member category.
