This workshop is for Pre-Certified Interpreters who wish to learn more about the NIC Performance and Assessment to become nationally certified, and who would like more information on the Alternative Pathway to Eligibility.

Workshop Objectives:
- 1. Participants will learn how to identify the ways an individual can qualify for the NIC written test without having a Bachelor’s degree. (Alternative Pathway)
- 2. Participants will be able to describe the test parts, number of vignettes and time on task required in the NIC performance test.
- 3. Participants will be able to list and describe at least 3 specific skill areas raters will be evaluating.
- 4. Participants will be able to describe the new plans for testing sites.
