Elections will be held during the 2010 Annual Business Meeting (ABM) on October 23, 2010 at the Florida Hotel and Conference Center, Orlando.  The chart below describes the positions on the board and the terms of services according to the recent Bylaws ammendment approved by the members on August 15, 2009.

Changes to the Board:  Beginning in 2009, four new positions were added to the board - Regional Representative North, South, Central East, Central West.  The positions of Member-at-Large were eliminated.  The committee chair board positions (QA, EIE, Conference, Membership) have been removed from the board, but those individuals retain their positions and continue to serve FRID.

Qualifications: 

• All candidates for the Board of Directors -
• shall have been members in good standing of the FRID or another state affiliate of the RID for at least two (2) consecutive years immediately prior to candidacy.
• shall not concurrently serve as an elected officer on the Board of any other state RID organization or on the National RID Board. 
• shall be members in good standing of the FRID and the RID, and be Florida residents.
• The elected Executive Officers (President, 1st & 2nd Vice-Presidents, Secretary & Treasurer) must hold a valid certificate from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc.
