Pay It Forward Membership Applicant Information

(Accepting applications Aug 1 - June 1)

If you would like to become a member of FRID but are financially unable to invest in becoming a member, you can apply for a Pay It Forward (PIF) membership.

Additionally, if you are already a member and need support with your upcoming renewal, you can fill out a PIF application.

Pay It Forward Memberships are free and are awarded by a lottery system based on available funding. Recipients will be selected at random and granted memberships only when funds are available.

PIF applications are awarded once a year on July 1st,
one month before FRID’s membership cycle begins.

An individual is eligible to receive the Pay It Forward (PIF) membership no more than three (3) times over the course of their lifetime.

Who is Eligible to Apply?

Anyone who is seeking an individual membership, there’s no need to explain your situation.

Who Sees My Application? 

The FRID Membership Chair and Vice President of Internal Affairs (VPIA) will review all applications and assign each one a unique Internal ID in a secure Google Sheets. We will select winners by using the randomize range feature in Google Sheets. This will randomly shuffle the rows. The Internal ID in row 2 (row 1 contains column headings) will be selected as the winner. Only the Membership Chair and VPIA will have access to the application data. Once the winner(s) are selected, the Treasurer will email them with instructions on how to claim their Pay It Forward (PIF) membership. Internal IDs will be used for reporting purposes only, and winners will be logged in a secure tracking Google Sheet to monitor how many times each individual has received a PIF membership.
